Saratoga Springs, NY – Jackie Greene is no stranger to winning the Open Pace Saratoga Casino Hotel. No trainer has won the pacing feature more than Greene in the last decade and on Saturday, the veteran conditioner added another win to her tally.

Ahi Sunshine (Sunshine Beach) stepped back up into Open company on Saturday following a sizzling 1:51.4 victory in the conditional ranks last week. Jimmy Devaux sat behind Ahi Sunshine in his return to the $18,000 Open.
The veteran reinsman powered the Greene trainee out to the early lead in :27 seconds and reached the half in :55.4 while traveling unopposed. Ahi Sunshine felt only mild pressure cruising through three quarters in 1:24.1 before reporting home a winner by a length and three-quarters in 1:52.1.
Pocket-sitting Pickup Man Hanover (Matt Athearn) finished second while longshot Primo Uomo (Chris Long) earned the show spot. Ahi Sunshine went off at odds of 3-1 in what was his first Open win of the season and the sixth already this year in the Open Pace for the Greene stable.
Greene has had three different pacers prevail in the top race for pacers in the 2026 campaign.
