Columbus, OH — Trainers can now research the history of their entry draw results over a specific timeframe and for any of their horses through their U.S. Trotting Association MyAccount.
Additional information will continue to be added to this feature, which at present is only available to USTA member trainers.
The statistics provide several different ways that trainers can look at how they have historically drawn for both random and manual draws, Fairs/Pari-Mutuel and the timeframes.
A trainer’s overall draw statistics are a compilation of all available post positions for previous races, a draw count of the number of times a trainer drew each of those positions, a race count of the number of races that the trainer participated in, in which each post position was available, and a percentage of the times the trainer drew each position out of the available races.
Random draws determine post positions randomly without regard to age, sex, earnings, etc. To learn more about random draws, click on this link, www.random.org.
Manual and handicap draws are assigned by some manual process. Handicapping would include consideration of claiming, age, sex, etc.
A USTA MyAccount is available for free and can be set up by clicking here.
