Berlin, MD – Ocean Downs has announced that training for the 2026 racing season will begin next Wednesday, April 22, at the vacationland oval, with the hours of training set at 7 a.m. through noon.
“Through our relationship with the Cloverleaf Standardbred Owners Association, we will continue to train every Wednesday through Aug. 26,” said Ocean Downs’ Director of Racing Peter Szymanski.
Horsemen are asked to call in their horses to Szymanski at 410-641-0600 x3377 by 6 p.m. on Mondays. Starting the following week, training entries will be received by the race office at extensions x3211 or x3212.
All horses are required to be up to date with their health papers (Coggins, rabies, etc.) prior to entering the grounds.
“Training is free provided you are a member of CSOA”, added Szymanski. “If not, the fee is $50 for the season.”
