Twenty horses nominated to Ron Banks Memorial at Running Aces

Columbus, MN — The race office at Running Aces has received and processed 20 nominations for the 2023 Ron Banks Memorial, which is a free-for-all event for pacing fillies and mares.

The annual event honors the memory of Mr. Banks who was a popular figure in the sport in the region and was also instrumental in helping to get a pari-mutuel harness track license approved for north-metro Minnesota, an initiative that helped to pave the way for the opening of Running Aces.

The action in the 2023 Banks will get underway with elimination races on Sunday (June 18). Each elimination division will go for a purse of $20,000 and the top nine mares from the eliminations will advance to the $35,000 final on Sunday (June 25).
