Fredericksburg, OH — Dublin Valley Farms is pleased to announce that their top stallion Volstead 6, 1:51.3f-Sweden ($729,716) has had another terrific season in the breeding shed, with his book now full and closed for 2025.
Volstead, an internationally successful son of Cantab Hall out of the Yankee Glide mare Madame Volo, won numerous European stakes races, before entering stud duty at Dublin Valley Farms in 2020.
To date Volstead has sired 31 starters with progeny earnings of $2,319,474, including 2024 Ohio Horse of the Year Sugar Instead 3,1:52.4f ($915,664); along with Ohio Sires Stakes winner Jurassic Hattie 3,1:52.3f ($441,864) and Ohio Fair Stake winner Smokeitsteady 3,1:55.3f ($113,115).
Volstead’s 2025 fee was $7,500 at Dublin Valley Farms, located in Fredericksburg, Ohio.
