Harrington, DE – George and Tina Dennis’ Wager On Me ($6, Mike Cole) was a 1:51.2 winner in the $22,500 Open Pace feature Monday (May 25) at Harrington Raceway.
Wager On Me, fresh off a 1:50.2 win in at Harrah’s Philadelphia, used his rail post position to his advantage and authored fractions of :27.2, :56 and 1:24.2 with Wehadababyetzaboy in the pocket as the duo opened up on the field at the top of the stretch.
Wager On Me would win by nearly two lengths over Wehadababyetzaboy and My Miki Beach. Trained by Joe Columbo, it was Wager On Me’s 49th career win and one of a trio on the card for Columbo and owners George and Tina Dennis.
Wager On Me, a 10-year-old Bettor’s Delight gelding, recorded his 5th win of the season as the only horse older than 7 in the field.
Tony Morgan had 4 wins on the program, while Mike Cole had a driving triple. Russell Foster and Brandon Givens each had a double.
