Wahlberg, Main, and Lake pick up wins in Spring Haven Farm Ladies Driving Series

Edgerton, OH — The Spring Haven Farm Ladies Driving Series made stops at both the Miami County Fair in Troy, Ohio and the Henry County Fair in Napoleon, Ohio this week.

Emma Wahlberg took the lone division at Troy on Monday (Aug. 14) with Flash Lauxmont in 1:59.3.

Two divisions were held at Napoleon on Wednesday (Aug. 16). Jennifer Main drove Anoche to victory in the first split in 2:01.2 and Vickielynne Lake visited the winner’s circle with Pronto Tonto in the second division after a mile in 2:02.2.

Wahlberg’s win at Troy pushed her back into first place in the series with 280 points. Mandy Jones holds down second place with 259 points while Bobbie Jo Brewer stands in third place with 217 points.

The Spring Haven Farm Ladies Driving Series gets real busy next week with four races on tap.

They will first visit the Allen County Fair in Lima, Ohio on Tuesday (Aug. 21) where post time for the first race will be 6:30 p.m. The series will do double-duty on Wednesday (Aug. 22) at the Defiance County Fair in Hicksville, Ohio since that fair will hold a trotting race for the lady drivers as well as a pacing race. Post time for the first race at Hicksville is also 6:30 p.m. The ladies will close out the week at the Darke County Fair in Greenville, Ohio on Thursday (Aug. 24) where that fair will host The Annie Oakley Shoot Out for the top eight point leaders through Aug. 16. Those ladies are Wahlberg, Jones, Brewer, Devan Miller, Main, Emily Hay, Leslie Joyce, and Laurie Farness-Smith. Racing at Greenville also gets underway at 6:30 p.m.
