Waiting On A Woman extended his winning streak to six with a handy 1:54.3 win for Wally Hennessey at Pompano Park on Wednesday night.

Despite being handicapped with the outside nine post, the 5-year-old son of Northern Bailey led virtually every step of the mile, securing the top spot with a :27.2 opener and sealing the deal with a :27.4 closer.

Illusionsndreams, a Canadian invader and new arrival in the Andy Santeramo Stable, got the garden journey the entire mile and was second, 2-1/2 lengths away, while Florida bred Lugar and Bruce Ranger teamed up to finish third. I’ll Tell You What and Spring Goal picked up the final awards in the field of eight.

Trainer Travis Kolaczynski had high praise for his trotter saying, “He’s a very special horse. I’m amazed that he has been able to keep so sharp racing every other week. And I can’t say enough great things about Wally (Hennessey), who gave him another great and alert drive off the gate and then was able to give him that mid-mile breather. They are just a great team.”

For Waiting On A Woman, it was his ninth success in 10 tries — a “dnf” via broken equipment the only blemish — sending his seasonal bankroll to $46,250 for the New Jennaration LLC.

The Open 2 Trot went to Andover America with Bruce Ranger in the bike. The 8-year-old won for the initial time in 2013 and 45th time during his illustrious career and sent his lifetime earnings to $673,965. She’s All In (Rick Plano) was second while Current Image (Kevin Wallis) finished third.

Andover Amerrica is owned by Mc Trade Enterprises.
