Walner filly sold for record price at Swedish yearling sale

At the Sweden International Yearling Sale held Tuesday (Aug. 15) at Solvalla, filly Eire, sired by Walner and out of Vivacious Allie, she by Muscle Hill, sold for 3.4 million SEK or $315,000. This is a new Swedish sales record for a yearling.

Eire was bought by the powerful Swedish SRF Stable.

The second highest price was paid for a colt, Prince Boko, sired by Tactical Landing out of Gorgeous Boko, she by Zola Boko. Prince Boko was sold for $138,000 and the buyer was the Swedish stable Denco AB.

A winning bid of $138,000 was also the price for a filly, Pure Glamour, sired by Ready Cash and out of Fleur Mearas, she by Love You. She was bought by The Goop Stable.

Ake Svanstedt was in the market and bought a colt sired by Six Pack, Nordic Catcher, for $35,000. Nordic Catcher is out of the pacing mare That Woman Hanover, she by Somebeachsomewhere.

Six yearlings were sold for 1 million Swedish Krona or more; last year at the same sale 13 sold for 1 million or more. The average price for the sale has so far not been published. All sale results are at this link.
