Harrington, DE – Evm Racing’s Wehadababyetzaboy ($3.40) was a dominant winner despite post 8 in the $22,500 Open Pace Monday (Aug. 17) at Harrington Raceway in 1:52.4, part of a 7 win night for his driver Brandon Givens.
The win was the exclamation point on a big night for Givens, who won 5 of the first 6 races on the program, including a pair for his father, trainer Les Givens.
In the feature, race favorite Wehadababyetzaboy made the lead at the opening quarter-mile and never looked back, with an open length win over Saulsbrook Genesis and Back Pocket Miki and Proper One, who were in a dead heat for third. Trained by Chuck Crissman Jr., it was his 10th win of the year and second straight victory, after winning the $50,000 Governor’s Cup at Harrington during the Delaware State Fair. The 7-year-old Sweet Lou gelding has made more than $180,000 seasonally and surpassed $500,000 in his career.
