Nichols, NY – JK Black Gold (Tyler Miller) captured the featured $13,000 pace on Sunday (July 6) at Tioga Downs.

JK Black Gold ($7.20) darted straight to the front and led to the quarter in :27. He used a :28.2 second quarter and was first to the half in :55.2. Orlando Blue A (Mike Merton) came first-up to challenge going down the backstretch. JK Black Gold maintained control and led to three-quarters in 1:22.3.
As they reached the stretch, JK Black Gold found another gear and won easily by 1-1/2 lengths in 1:50.4. Sea Of Life (Ridge Warren) came up late to finish second. Orlando Blue A had to settle for third.
JK Black Gold is a 5-year-old gelding by JK Endofanera. He is owned by Pollack Racing and trained by Jeff Cullipher. It was his fourth win this season. He now has 14 career victories.
Driver Braxten Boyd had four wins on the card. He got his wins with Hardball Hanover, Livonjaxandqueens, Maddon Oaks, and Bad Boy Too. Driver Tyler Miller and trainer Jeff Cullipher combined for three wins together on the afternoon.
