Discus Hanover (Leon Bailey) got to the quarter first in :27.2. He used a :30.2 second quarter to be first to the half in :57.4. Low Inside (Dan Daley) was first to make a move going first-up around the final turn. Discus Hanover led to three quarters in 1:26.3.
As they reached the stretch second place finisher Zapaca (Frank Affrunti) came all out after third place finisher Discus Hanover. What A Mission ($16,48) came from out of the clouds like he was shot out of a cannon. He went on by to win in 1:55.4.
What A Mission is a 5-year-old gelding by What The Hill. He is owned by Michael Miller and trained by Hannah Miller. It was his fourth win this season. He now has 10 career victories.
