Idao de Tillard is now back in his stall with trainer Thierry Duvaldestin and will be on the mend; the attempt to win the Prix d’Amerique for the third time in a row has now been set aside.
After a colic attack on Monday and subsequent surgery, Idao de Tillard is now back in his stall with trainer Duvaldestin.
The horse is doing well under the circumstances and will recover from the surgical procedure that was performed Monday afternoon.
“Now he needs time to recover, but we have to face the situation, and a start in the Prix d’Amerique 2026 is out of the question,” Duvaldestin said to the French publication Province-Course.
