Columbus, MN – Go Have Fun and trainer/driver Brady Jenson wrote their names into the Running Aces record books on Sunday night (May 24) as Jenson steered the talented mare to her second straight victory with an impressive gate-to-wire effort in 1:54.2, eclipsing the previous record of 1:54.3 held by both Silverlode (2018) and Susie’s Sister (2022) and making her the fastest female trotter ever at the Minnesota oval.

The 5-year-old daughter of Kadabra trotted a final half in a very impressive :56.1 to achieve the record clocking, keeping the reigning Minnesota harness horse of the year Peanutbutterfalcon (Scott Cisco) at bay in second while Braggen Bliss (Nick Roland) was a close third in the record mile.
Go Have Fun is also owned by Jenson, in partnership with Ken Stauffer and Cathy Dessert. She now shows 11 career wins with earnings of $159,698 from 75 starts.

Chapolier (Luke Plano, $2.80) delivered another big performance as the heavy favorite in the $15,000 Open Handicap, trotting in 1:54.4 for his third win from six starts this year and his 36th career win.
Escaper (Rick Magee) went to the front early but Plano made a quarter-pole move to the top with Chapolier and never looked back en route to a 1-1/2 length tally over Escaper with BP’s Lucky Star (Lemoyne Svendsen) getting up late for third money.
The winner is also owned and trained by Plano.
Drivers Nick Roland and Brady Jenson and trainer Brett Ballinger all had doubles on the Sunday card.
Live racing returns to Running Aces on Tuesday night (May 26) for an 8-race card that will get underway at 7 p.m. (CDT) and will feature ‘Dollar Night’ specials and free bet drawings.
