Harrington, DE – Andrew Glassmeyer’s Mr Three O Five ($4.60, Montrell Teague) was a 1:52.3 winner in the $22,500 Open Pace on Monday (June 1) at Harrington Raceway.
It was the fifth win of the year for the 5-year-old Lazarus N stallion, who is trained by his owner, and the time equaled his lifetime best.
Captaincountrystar took the early lead from Joker On Jack, who yielded in the pocket, to a speedy opening quarter-mile in :26.3. Captaincountrystar then faced pressure from first-over Mr Three O Five to a half-mile in :55.4. Captaincountrystar took the field to three-quarters in 1:23.3 but started to tire near the wire as Mr Three O Five and Wager On Me had the most momentum and surged to the finish. Mr Three O Five prevailed narrowly in a three-way photo, with the trio separated by a head.
Wager On Me was second with Captaincountrystar third.
Brandon Givens, Montrell Teague, Mike Cole and Art Stafford Jr. each had a pair of wins.
