Caviar Forthe Lady repeats in Meadows F&M trot

Washington, PA — Caviar Forthe Lady worked out comfortable fractions on the front Monday, then sailed home to capture her second straight $22,500 Filly & Mare Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows.

After blazing to the front for Dan Charlino from post 8, Caviar Forthe Lady threw on the brakes and reached the half in a mild 58. The 5-year-old daughter of SJ’s Caviar-Croupier Lady wasn’t challenged seriously thereafter, prevailing in 1:55.3. PJ’s Photo rallied for second, a length back, while Hawaiianphotograph raced well first-over for third.

Marty Wollam trains Caviar Forthe Lady, who soared past $500,000 in career earnings, for Acadia Farms.

Eric Ledford and Brian Zendt each drove three winners on the 15-race card.

Brian Callahan’s I Wanna Go Fast ($6.60, Jon Roberts) was a repeat winner in the $18,600 Open Pace Monday at Harrington Raceway in 1:54.3. For the second straight week the 4-year-old Three Olives gelding received a two-hole trip, this time behind front-stepping Three Martinis. I Wanna Go Fast received his cue to pace on by Roberts at the top of the stretch and he responded well, surging through the stretch to produce a narrow win over Don’ttellporkies and Kiss My Art. It was the 15th career win in 32 career starts for the winner. Drivers Tony Morgan, Ross Wolfenden and Corey Callahan each had a driving double on the program.

Ocean Downs
In the featured fourth race on Monday at Ocean Downs, Ray Robinson, Jr. drove Elvis Blue Chip to victory in 2:00.3 for trainer Alfredo Collazo and owner James Patrick Davis of Columbia, Maryland. Elvis Blue Chip is a 3-year-old Credit Winner gelding with lifetime earnings of $60,816.

Monticello Raceway
The battle for driving supremacy at Monticello Raceway between Bruce Aldrich, Jr. and Zeke Parker continues. On Monday afternoon, Aldrich reined five winners on the card and two of those winners each notched their 10th seasonal triumph. Giant T, a trotter that The King Of The Hill Stable claimed for $4,000 earlier this season earned a new lifetime record when Aldrich guided the 5-year-old Giant Hit gelding to a wire-to-wire, three length victory in a time of 1:59.1. Another of Aldrich’s triumphs was behind his own Blue Creek Angie whose tenth seasonal triumph came in a 1:57.3 clocking. He was also victorious with Johnpeter Gobbetti’s Fly Italia in 1:59.1 and with Margaret Olmstead’s Edie’s Desire in 1:57.2. Aldrich’s fifth win on the card was with Woody Hoblitzell and Linda Bushu’s Moonlit Tori in 2:00.1. However, Zeke Parker had three wins of his own that day. His first was with Pete Pellgrino’s JM Dancing Star in 1:56.3, which was that veteran pacing mare’s third consecutive since moving in from Pompano Park. He then reined John Balzer’s BJ’s Aurora home first in 2:00.3 and win number three from Parker came behind Dave Schneider’s May Knight in 1:58.2. At the end of the racing program, Parker still had command of the leaderboard with 242 wins to Aldrich’s 236.
