Elitlopp Rescinds Invitation to Mr. Muscleman

Harness Racing Communications, a division of the USTA

The USTA’s European correspondent, Karsten Bonsdorf, has confirmed that the invitation extended to Mr. Muscleman to compete in the Elitlopp in late May has been withdrawn.

A representative of Solvalla Racetrack, Hans G. Lindskog, withdrew the invitation to compete in the race, which features the top trotters around the world. The withdrawal comes after a recent suspension of Mr. Muscleman’s trainer, Noel Daley, by the NJ Racing Commission. Daley was suspended 180 days for a TCO2 positive test in the horse Night Mystery, who was owned by Adam Victor and Son at the time of his positive test in February of 2005. The Victors also own Mr. Muscleman.

Daley was granted an extension of the start of his suspension by the NJ Racing Commission and it was granted by the Commission on April 19. The suspension was to begin on April 21 and will now begin on April 27.
