Harrington, DE — Wendy Crissman and 49 Racing Stable’s Crossfire N improved to 12th in the country among older pacing mares in seasonal earnings after a 1:56 win on Tuesday at Harrington Raceway in the headlining $15,000 Filly and Mare Open. Harrington Raceway Photo Crossfire N and Mike Cole weather the sloppy racetrack on Tuesday at Harrington. The five-year-old Son Of Afella mare has banked $134,550 in 2004 and has hit the board in 24 of her 32 starts. Driven by Mike Cole for trainer Chuck Crissman, Jr., Crossfire N weathered the sloppy track with pacesetting fractions of :29, :59.2 and 1:28 before blazing home in a :28 second last quarter for the one length triumph over Cams Little Imp N and House Flight.
Bob Larrimore’s How About Gal (1:56.4, Joe Sullivan) won the subfeatured $11,000 winners over for pacing mares.
Driver Eddie Davis had three wins on the program.
Brad Hanners maintains a comfortable 16 win lead in the driver standings over Jim Morand, while the trainer’s race is up for grabs. Josh Green (18 wins) clings to a one win lead over Robert Myers, Jr. and Chuck Crissman, Jr.
