Columbus, MN – Alta Revelry N (Sunshine Beach) stole the show at Running Aces on Tuesday night (June 15) with a dominating gate-to-wire performance in the $15,000 Open Handicap pace with trainer/driver Luke Plano in the bike.

Plano sent his charge into immediate action off the gate to quickly establish command while Speaking Volumes and driver Rick Magee were also revved up early and easily secured the pocket spot and JK Victory (Dean Magee) floated away in third through the :27.1 opening stanza.
Plano orchestrated solid middle fractions of :55.4 and 1:23.3 to keep the field in chase mode behind Alta Revelry N and there were no right lines taken down the backside.
Rounding for home, Alta Revelry N ($3) was still well in command and in the lane proceeded to draw clear impressively to register a 3-1/4 length tally in 1:50.4 for his third win of the season while Speaking Volumes was clearly second best and Racing Ripper (Nick Roland) rallied late to pick up the show money.
The winner is an 8-year-old gelding and is owned by JMF Racing . He now shows 31 career wins and has earned $365,642.
Dandy’s Freedom (World of Rocknroll) picked up his third win in a row with a big stretch rally in the $11,750 Open II Handicap event, matching his career mark of 1:51 set last week. Longshot It’s Pointless (Rick Magee) was up late for second over PD The Big Easy (Brady Jenson).
Casy Leonard drove the winner and also trains for owners Terry Leonard, Dandy Farms, Peter Kouchis and Ft Racing. The win mutuel was $2.40.
Brady Jenson led the program with both a driving and training triple and also recorded his 500th career training win.
Casey Leonard also posted a driving and training double.
