On a beautiful Monday (Aug. 25) in the Bluegrass Miki And Minnie maintained her win streak in a geared down 1:50 at The Red Mile in the $80,000 third round leg of the Kentucky Championship Series for sophomore filly pacers. Go Dog Go left favored Super Chapter well behind to return to the winner’s circle in 1:53.2 in his $80,000 third round leg of the series for 3-year-old male trotters. The 14-race card also included three $30,000 third round legs of the Kentucky Commonwealth Series, four $15,000 third round legs of the Kentucky Golden Rod Series and one $10,000 third round leg of the Kentucky Wildcat Series.

On yet another blazing hot day in the Bluegrass Monday (Aug. 18), It Could Be Worse could not have performed better in the $80,000 third round leg of the Kentucky Sire Stakes Championship Series at The Red Mile for freshman male trotters in 1:53. The day’s events included a $35,000 second round leg of the Kentucky Sire Stakes Series for older pacing mares, two $30,000 third round legs of the Kentucky Commonwealth Series, three $15,000 third round legs of the Kentucky Golden Rod Series and two $10,000 third round divisions of the Kentucky Wildcat Series. The older mare series was the only contest not for 2-year-old male trotters.
