Brandon Blvd seeks to remain undefeated at The Red Mile
On another Sunday Night Lights sponsored by Crawford Farms on Aug. 17 the 15-race card at The Red Mile offers yet another stakes-laden experience for freshman male pacers. The evening’s schedule of events includes a sole $80,000 third round leg of the Kentucky Championship Series, two $30,000 divisions of the third leg in the Kentucky Commonwealth Series, three $15,000 divisions of the third leg of The Kentucky Golden Rod Series and two $10,000 third round legs of the Kentucky Wildcat Series. Although there are many talented youngsters competing over the red clay, all eyes will certainly be upon the undefeated Brandon Blvd.
Burke collects win 16,000 at The Red Mile
On another steamy day Tuesday (Aug. 12), conditioner Ron Burke broke another of his own records when the Hall of Famer captured his 16,000th career race at The Red Mile.
Luxury Virgin wins at Pocono; Buter stays hot
Trainer Per Engblom, second in this year’s North American trainers statistics behind perennial runaway leader (and current Pocono leader) Ron Burke in both the wins and earnings column, has had the care of the Always A Virgin three-year-old colt Luxury Virgin entrusted to him for three starts, and the pacer scored his second victory for his new conditioner in the $14,000 pacing feature on Tuesday (Aug. 12) afternoon at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania.

On Monday (Aug. 11) Setyoursightshigh and Leading Lady illustrated why they are the early leaders in their divisions with triumphs in the $80,000 second round divisions for freshman filly trotters. NAADA Donates to American Cancer Society, New Vocations
The North American Amateur Drivers Association (NAADA) has announced that it will donate a total of $5,000 to two worthy causes, the American Cancer Society (ACS) and New Vocations (NV). The organizations will each receive $2,500, per a recommendation made by Alan Schwartz, Vice President of NAADA.
