Bouncing Bax, Lola De Vie score in NYSS at Saratoga

Saratoga Springs, NY — Credit Winner fillies Bouncing Bax and Lola De Vie scored victories in the New York Sire Stakes races on Thursday night (Aug. 29) at Saratoga Casino and Raceway.

The sophomore trotting fillies had two divisions of stakes action on the 13-race card.

Bouncing Bax was a half-length winner over Barn Babe in the first division.

Bouncing Bax (Wally Hennessey) was coming off of her first Sire Stakes victory at Monticello and sat the pocket on Thursday night before pouncing in the stretch to record her biggest win, stopping the timer in a career best 1:58.1 in the $114,587 first division. Jim Raymer trains the winner for owner Harbor Racing Stable. Barn Babe was second and Palm Beach Chic finished third.

Lola De Vie has been a winning machine in her young career and the she was true to form again as she went wire-to-wire for Jim Morrill, Jr. in 1:59.2 in the $114,588 second split. The score was the seventh of the season for the Chris Ryder trained trotter and the ninth in 20 lifetime tries. Joie De Vie Farms owns the winner, who deafeated Royal Malinda and Vixen.

Live racing continues on Friday night at Saratoga with a first post time set for 7:05 p.m.
