The Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame’s Living Horse Hall of Fame ballots are in the mail.

It’s time for last call for nominations for the 2025 Caretaker of the Year as nominations will be accepted through Sunday (Dec. 7). The award, sponsored by Art Zubrod and Leah Cheverie’s Fair Island Farm in conjunction with the United States Harness Writers Association (USHWA), recognizes the unsung heroes of the sport: the caretakers who maintain the health and welfare of the horses on a daily basis.

Dr. Daniel Arthur Wilson was born on June 24, 1949, in Columbus, Ohio, to parents Robert and Fanchon Wilson, and passed away peacefully on Nov. 17, 2025.

Raymond Tom “Tommy” Paver, 70, of Ashville, Ohio, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, following a short illness. He was born on November 2, 1955, in Marysville, Ohio, to the late Ray Paver Sr. and Joan Paver.
