The marquee races in Canada for pacing freshmen now have their finalists following a pair of eliminations for the C$970,000 Metro Pace and the C$540,000 She’s A Great Lady on Saturday night (Sept. 16) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

A trio of Simcoe Stakes divisions for 3-year-old pacers were part of Saturday’s stakes-filled lineup at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

Vivid Wise As, representing Italy in Saturday’s $1 million MGM Yonkers International Trot at MGM Yonkers Raceway, took advantage of a quick start to get the lead from post one, repelled multiple challengers throughout, and drew off in the closing stages to win the race in 2:23.1 over the distance of 1-1/4 miles.

Tattoo Artist flipped the script to win Saturday (Sept. 2) night’s C$615,000 Canadian Pacing Derby at Woodbine Mohawk Park. 

Last year’s Maple Leaf Trot was far from memorable for Alrajah One IT. On Saturday (Sept. 2) night under the lights and in the spotlight at Woodbine Mohawk Park, the trotting titan was back and better than ever.

Sophomore trotting filly Climb The Pole and sophomore trotting gelding Gaines Hanover came with late accelerations to each capture their respective division of Simcoe Stakes at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Saturday night.
