The Ohio Sires Stakes for 2-year-old colt and gelding pacers made a stop at MGM Northfield Park on Sunday (July 13) with four divisions.

The Ohio Sires Stakes for 2-year-old filly pacers made the first stop on its schedule on Sunday (July 13) at MGM Northfield Park.

This week was one-stop shopping at The Meadowlands with Grades 1-3 represented. The Grade 1 Meadowlands Pace and Hambletonian Maturity were the features.

There were three $30,000 divisions of a Pennsylvania All-Stars event for two-year-old pacing fillies on the Sunday twilight card at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania, and all three of the winners scored in identical times of 1:53.4.

Driver Tony Hall struck with Dale Yeah as the iron cooled and mounted a successful blitz to storm home to a 1:50.1 win in the $40,000 Open Pace at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel on Sunday afternoon (July 13). 

Thirsty Thursday yielded to favored Railroad Station to sit the pocket in the $13,500 featured pace at Harrah’s Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon, then moved out of the two-hole and caught the chalk by a neck in a 1:50.4 mile.

Tioga Downs played host for two $53,500 divisions of the New York Sire Stakes for 2-year-old trotting fillies on Sunday (July 13).

With the Maine Sire Stakes in full swing, the 3-year-old pacing fillies made their second visit to Cumberland Raceway on Saturday (July 12) featuring two $11,926 divisions for the fourth leg of the lucrative Pine Tree State program.

Less than even-money favorites Can’ttouchthese and Tarshish continued their tear through the sophomore pacing filly division with a pair of dominant scores in the fourth leg of Indiana Sire Stakes on Saturday (July 12) at Harrah’s Hoosier Park.

Godusa set a track record at Eldorado Scioto Downs Saturday (July 12) and became the fastest 2-year-old trotter so far in 2025 as Ohio Sires Stakes action kicked off for the season for freshman colts and fillies.
