But neither was successful, and instead three horses joined them as two-time preliminary winners from Saturday’s $20,000 four divisions, promising a wide-open $50,000 final next Saturday (April 19). There were also five divisions of the first Weiss leg for 3-year-old pacing fillies.
Stranger Things takes Buffalo feature
Everything went true to form in Buffalo Raceway’s $12,500 pacing feature on Saturday afternoon (April 12) as even-money favorite Stranger Things ($4.20) popped the pocket and stormed to a length victory over Lanas Desire in a seasonal-best 1:55.4 over a good track.

Napolitano wins six at Philly opener
Harrah’s Philadelphia opened its 2025 racing season Friday (April 11) with a special evening card, and although the weather was not very cooperative (temperatures in the mid-40s and a rain-soaked racetrack rated sloppy), the featured trotting classes put on a good show.
