2024 Roadster Off-Track Series details
In January, the U.S. Trotting Association announced the creation of a new series of Roadster events. Details of that series, including the nomination form, are now available.
New Roadster Series announced
The U.S. Trotting Association is excited to announce a new series of Roadster events for the 2024 show season. Created for horses that either raced or were bred for the intention to race, the series is to promote Roadster events as a suitable second career for Standardbreds.
Standardbred Roadster 100 on Nov. 8
The second annual Standardbred Roadster 100 will be contested Wednesday (Nov. 8) at the American Royal Complex in Kansas City, Mo. The event will go for a $100,000 purse with $15,000 in additional incentives for the winning and reserve champion trainers.
Inaugural SIP show season closing soon
The inaugural show season for the Standardbred Incentive Program (SIP) is coming to a close. Any shows attended that will be held through Nov. 30, 2022 count for the 2022 show season.
Standardbred Roadster 100 to be contested Wednesday
The Standardbred Roadster 100 will be contested Wednesday (Nov. 9) at the American Royal Complex in Kansas City, Mo. The Roadster 100 is fashioned somewhat after the Mohawk Million/Next Generation, in that slots were auctioned off to create a class with a $100,000 purse.
Justahayfer captures USTA Roadster Classic
In 14 career starts on the racetrack in 2017-18, the now 7-year-old trotter Justahayfer was winless. The best showings for the son of Noble Venture out of the Muscles Yankee mare Ornellaia were a fourth and a fifth, which brought his total earnings to just $1,423. In less than 10 minutes on Thursday night (Aug. 25) at the World’s Championship Horse Show at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Ky., Justahayfer brought home $6,864 to his owner when he won the $28,600 U.S. Trotting Association Roadster Classic.
