As unseasonable heat continues to envelope the northeast and with a heat advisory in place predicting heat index values of up to 98-degrees for Plainville, the live card of racing originally scheduled for Thursday (Sept. 7) has been postponed and moved to Friday (Sept. 8), in an abundance of caution for the safety and well being of the horses and horse people involved in putting on the races.

The 26-day Fall racing meet at Rosecroft Raceway kicks off on Tuesday (Sept. 19) and runs through Thursday (Dec. 21).
