Racing resumes at Ocean Downs beginning with qualifiers being held at 10 a.m. Thursday (May 23) and the first night of live racing Sunday (May 26).

Saturday night’s (May 18) program at MGM Yonkers Raceway will have a $4,129.18 carryover and a $15,000 guaranteed pool in the Pick-5 after the sequence was not hit on Friday night’s (May 17) card.

This Saturday (May 18) will mark the first time this year that stakes racing from The Meadowlands will be shown to a national television audience as Fox Sports will broadcast live the first major event of the season at The Big M, the $145,150 Arthur J. Cutler Memorial for open trotters, on Fox Sports 2 (FS2) at 9 p.m.

First Tracks Cumberland is proud to offer full-card simulcasting from Pimlico Race Course, Baltimore, Md., which includes the 149th renewal of the $2 million Preakness Stakes this weekend, May 17-18.

Those in the business of breeding, raising or buying Standardbred yearlings in the quest to find that jewel among them that results in fortune and glory are about to have their future revealed, for better or worse, when the 2-year-old races begin next month.

Race fans across the country will be gathered to watch the 149th Preakness stakes Saturday (May 18) from Pimlico. However, the party won’t stop there as there will be a Pick-5 carryover of $3,241 at MGM Northfield Park.

The Meadowlands will offer a short overnight series for 3-year-old trotters with separate colt and filly divisions that are non-winners of 2 (NJ sired 3) pari-mutuel races or $30,000 lifetime (winners of more than $75,000 life ineligible) with New Jersey sired preferred (date preference over non-NJ sired) and eligible for the 25 percent NJ bonus in these races.
