Steen Juul, who won his first Dansk Trav Derby in 1983, has won more than 7,500 races, has been Danish champion driver eight times and champion driver at Charlottenlund (Copenhagen) no less than 31 times.

The winning trotter is sired by German-bred Cantab Hall DE, a son to Angus Hall and out of a mare, Sugar, by Pine Chip and the legendary mare Nealy Lobell.

The purse for the winner was $135,000.
