Day To Party springs 12-1 upset in Meadows feature

Washington, PA — Day To Party moved three-wide past the three-quarters and brushed wide through the lane to spring a 12-1 upset in Wednesday’s (Feb. 1) feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,100 conditioned pace for fillies and mares.

Once Dan Charlino tipped Day To Party off cover, the 4-year-old daughter of Sportswriter-Day To Ponder found a new gear and edged Slick Artist A, who was shooting the Lightning Lane, by a head in 1:55.1 over a sloppy surface. Leave Her Wild finished third.
