Scooch Over (#6) finishes fastest of all on the outside to win a qualifier on the Friday morning program at Scioto. The pacer edges Imabeachboytoo (#5) and Wart (#3).

Jim Arledge, Jr. trains the filly and Bob Harper was in the sulky as she coasted across the wire 3-1/2 lengths ahead of her pursuers.

The fastest trotting mile of the morning also went to a mare as Britt Van, a 4-year-old trained by Dan Ater and driven by son Kyle, stepped an evenly-rated mile in 2:00.2. The daughter of Pegasus Spur won by three lengths.

Other impressive sophomore pacing winners were Cruzin Bayou (Yankee Cruiser) in 1:56.3 for trainer-driver Chip Noble; Diego (Cambest) in 1:57.4 for driver Chris Page; Jan’s Best (Cambest) in 1:58 for Dean Glispie; Southwind Mocha (Artsplane) in 1:59.3 for Kyle Ater; and Track Stand (Stand Forever) for Kyle Ater in 1:59.4.
