Hall, Page, Wrenn each collect two Buckeye Stallion Series wins

Grove City, OH — Tony Hall, Chris Page, and Ronnie Wrenn Jr. doubled up Wednesday (May 3) as the first leg of the Buckeye Stallion Series wrapped up at Miami Valley Raceway. Seven divisions of 3-year-old colt pacers went to the post, each carrying a purse of $20,000.

In addition to the three drivers collecting two wins, trainers Ron Burke and Brian Brown each had two victories.

It was also a big night for sire Downbytheseaside, whose sons won five of the seven races.

In the first Buckeye Stallion Series race of the night, Primary Driver (Fear The Dragon) with Brady Galliers went three wide around the final turn and charged down the lane to win by a length in 1:52.3. It was Primary Driver’s first win of the year.

Ronnie Wrenn Jr. and Brian Brown each picked up their first win on the card when Seafire (Downbytheseaside) cruised to a three length victory in 1:53.4. Seafire, who did not race as a 2-year-old, has hit the board in all four starts this year with two wins.

The duo of Chris Page and Ron Burke collected their first of two wins with Gettingyoursealegs (Downbytheseaside). Gettingyoursealegs rallied down the stretch to win going away by two lengths in 1:52.3. Unraced as a 2-year-old, Gettingyoursealegs has won two of five starts this year.

Boardwalk Jack (Downbytheseaside) gave Page and Burke their second win, going gate-to-wire in 1:54.2. It was the second win in five starts this year for Boardwalk Jack.

Under Your Scars (Downbytheseaside) gave Tony Hall his first win of the night. The Anette Lorentzon trainee went three-wide around the final turn and reeled in the leader at the wire to win by a neck in 1:54.1. It was the first win in three starts this year for Under Your Scars.
