Pompano Beach, FL — He Wants It All, two-time winner of the Isle of Capri Pace, makes his seasonal debut in the Saturday (Jan. 27) feature from Pompano Park, a $10,000 Open Handicap Pace that will go as the third race on the program.
Trained by Tom Harmer for owner Michael Polansky of Loudonville, New York, He Wants It All is an 11-time winner at Pompano Park with over $260,000 of his career bankroll earned locally.
In his final two starts of 2006 at Balmoral Park in Chicago, He Wants It All finished second to Load The Dice, a fellow Isle of Capri Pace nominee who starts in the $116,000 Presidential Series Final at The Meadowlands on Saturday. In preparation for his return, He Wants It All qualified over the Pompano Park oval on Friday, January 19, pacing a mile in 1:53.2.
Installed as the 6-5 morning line favorite, and coupled in the wagering with stablemate Star Role, He Wants It All will be driven from post seven by Wally Hennessey. Star Role, a winner at this level in his last start, has drawn the inside position for Saturday’s pace with David Ingraham at the helm.
Trainer Gary Lemaister will send out JK Big Shot in the Saturday feature for owner Jean Picard of Orford, Quebec. After arriving in South Florida from Montreal in December, JK Big Shot has put forth a pair of impressive qualifiers and has prevailed in two of three starts at Pompano.
In his most recent appearance, an Open Handicap Pace on January 13, JK Big Shot prevailed by 2-3/4 lengths, stopping the clock in a lifetime best 1:51.2 while pacing the last quarter in :27.4. The 4-year-old son of The Panderosa is listed as the 2-1 second choice in the morning line, and will be driven from post six by Brett Miller.
First post for the Saturday program is 7:25 p.m.
