Trois-Rivieres, QC — Due to severe weather throughout the month of April, management at the Quebec Jockey Club has postponed opening day at the Hippodrome 3R from Sunday (April 28) to Sunday (May 5).

“This is the second straight year that Mother Nature has forced us to postpone opening day at H3R,” said Murielle Thomasson, Director of Racing at the Hippodrome 3R. “It seems she does not want us to race in April. The weather has been horrendous and we could not start any qualifying races held until last week. Hopefully we will be fine for next Sunday.”

An additional race program will be added to the schedule later this season.

The new post time for opening day May 5 is 1 p.m. This season H3R will have live racing on Friday evenings starting May 24 with a 7 p.m. post time.
