Washington, PA – Jameson N Lime needed two moves to get there, but she notched her fourth straight victory in Friday’s (Aug. 5) $10,000 opening leg of a Pop Up Series for 2-year-old filly trotters at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

Jameson N Lime opened her career with a fourth-place finish in a Pennsylvania Stallion Series stake; she’s been perfect since then. On Friday, the daughter of Father Patrick-Lindy On The Rocks found the pocket from post -eight for Brady Brown, then abandoned it into the final turn to go after the leader, Show Me Da Moni. Jameson N Lime downed that rival by 1/2 length in a career-best 1:59, with Cutiecumber third.

In Friday’s co-feature, the $10,000 opening leg of a Pop Up Series for freshman colt and gelding trotters, Brace For Landing seized the lead early for Anthony MacDonald and dominated, breaking his maiden in style in 1:56.1. His stablemate, Landing Strip, was second, two-lengths back, while Fire N Lightning earned show.

In Friday’s $19,300 Open Handicap Trot, Tequila Talkin scored a front-end win — his second straight — in a career-best 1:53.2 for Dave Palone, trainer Ron Burke and owners Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC. Stickler Hanover and Barn Hall completed the ticket. The 7-year-old Cantab Hall-Margarita Nights gelding pushed his lifetime bankroll to $276,338.

Palone collected five wins and Burke three on the 11-race card.

Live racing at The Meadows continues Saturday (Aug. 6) when the 10-race program features a pair of carryovers — $698.92 in the Jackpot Pick-5 (race four), $401.18 in the final-race Super Hi-5. First post is 12:45 p.m.
