Kaitlyn N wins fourth straight in Harrington feature

Harrington, DE — Nanticoke Racing, Josh Parker and Barry Spedden’s Kaitlyn N ($5.20) notched her fourth straight win Tuesday (Oct. 23) in the $17,500 Mares Open at Harrington Raceway.

Driven by Art Stafford Jr., the 5-year-old American Ideal mare overcame post position eight with a fierce late rally to surge to the lead in deep stretch for her 11th win of the year. Trained by co-owner Parker, the mare has won 13 of 42 starts in her career. Blacknsweet Adda A was second with Miss Choptank third.

Michael Hill’s Shesarocker ($4.20, Victor Kirby) won the sub-featured $11,000 Open II in 1:54.3.

With just one night of racing remaining at the meet, Victor Kirby and Mike Cole are tied in the driver standings, while Joe Columbo has clinched the training title over Joe Hundertpfund.

Post time is 5 p.m. for the closing night program Wednesday (Oct. 24).
