Kings County scores in Dayton feature

Dayton, OH — A full field of 10 went behind the gate for the $25,000 Open Handicap Trot on Wednesday (Nov. 9) at Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway, and Kings County didn’t disappoint his backers as the even money favorite.

Brett Miller eased the 6-year-old son of Muscle Hill to the top. Although two-wide through the :27.3 opening quarter, Kings County gained control of the field soon thereafter without hesitation, posting middle fractions of :55.4 and 1:24.1 before stopping the clock in 1:53.1. Lockbox (Tony Hall) was second with Rose Run Valor (Kayne Kauffman) finishing third.
