Kirby belts a grand slam at Harrington

Harrington, DE — Driver Victor Kirby won four races, including a pair from his own barn, on the Tuesday (July 6) program at Harrington Raceway.

Kirby trainees Quiksilvr Bluechip ($2.80) and Rukiddnme Bluechip ($13.20), both trotters whom Kirby co-owns, were victorious. Kirby also piloted Hey Hey Dbay ($4.20) and Redford Hanover ($11.20) to victory.

Russell Foster, Art Stafford Jr. and Montrell Teague each had a double.

Rich Lombardo, Charles Cochran and Josh Green’s Littlebagoftricks ($3.60) notched her seventh straight win with a 1:55 score. The Roddy’s Bags again filly has won eight of 10 lifetime.

Later on the card, Elizabeth and Bret Brittingham’s Big Secret ($3.40) scored his third straight win with co-owner Bret Brittingham aboard for trainer Don Brittingham.

Live racing in Delaware will go on a hiatus until the annual Governor’s Day program on July 29 (7 p.m. post time) during the Delaware State Fair, where over $600,000 in total purses will be distributed, including four $100,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) final events for 3-year-olds.
