Lexington, KY — The Lexington Selected Mixed Sale, which will get underway at 7 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 8) at the Fasig-Tipton Newtown Paddocks, has cataloged 81 lots that include broodmares, weanlings, stallion shares and racehorses.

Thirty-nine of the entries are from the complete dispersal of Buckstone Land and Livestock.

The dispersal includes 17 broodmares, highlighted by the outstanding Unica Donna It (dam of Jim Doherty elim winner Una Madonna 2,1:55.1f), in foal to European champion Calgary Games. Her first two foals sold as yearlings in Lexington for $100,000 or more.

Other mares include Rhodium, in foal to Tall Dark Stranger, and Well Sweet Flashy, in foal to Captaintreacherous. There are eight weanlings that include three by top freshman sire Tactical Landing and one from the first crop of champion Tall Dark Stranger.

Twelve racehorses are on offer, led by last-out Red Mile winner Colonial As It 4,1:52.2 and the quick 2-year-old pacer by Lazarus N, Vici (race-timed 1:51.3).

Overall, 48 mares, 20 racehorses, four stallion shares and nine weanlings will be in the book.

“With mares in foal to many of the top proven sires, as well as the hottest young sires in the business, we have something for everyone,” said Lexington Selected’s co-manager David Reid.

“We have trotting mares in foal to Walner, International Moni, Tactical Landing, Googoo Gaagaa, Greenshoe, and Muscle Hill, while the pacing mares being offered are in foal to Captaintreacherous, Tall Dark Stranger, Huntsville, Lazarus N, and more.”

Stallion shares in Muscle Hill and top freshman sires Lazarus N and Tactical Landing are also cataloged.
