Magazine interviews Leerhsen about Crazy Good

Freehold, NJ — Gelf Magazine recently interviewed author Charles Leerhsen about his upcoming book, Crazy Good: The True Story of Dan Patch, the Most Famous Horse in America.

Gelf, a webzine, hosts the Varsity Letters Reading Series at which Leerhsen will do a pre-publication reading from his book. The event is Thursday, May 1, at the Happy Ending on 302 Broome Street, Manhattan, between Forsyth and Eldridge Streets in Chinatown.

The book is due out May 20 from publisher Simon & Schuster. For those who cannot wait until May 20, books will be for sale at this event.

A 6,000-word excerpt from Crazy Good will run in a Sports Illustrated edition in mid May. Sports Illustrated has a circulation of about 3.2 million and a readership of about 20 million people each week.

There will also be a reading and signing at the Park Slope (Brooklyn) Barnes and Noble on June 5 at 7:00 p.m., 267 Seventh Avenue, corner of 6th Street.
