Majorca N takes the Filly Open at Dover

Dover, DE – Majorca N dominated a field of open pacing mares at Bally’s Dover on Wednesday (Nov. 3) night. Despite being off five weeks, Majorica N left alertly and set fractions of :26.4 :55.3 1:23.3. Shes Pukka N also left but accepted the pocket trip.

Scarlett Hanover moved first-over down the backstretch and challenged Majorica N at the three-quarters, but faded late. Majorca N (Art Major) had plenty left in the stretch and won by 2 ½ lengths, pacing the mile in 1:51.3. Majorca N is owned by Michael Casalino Jr (NJ) and Dylan Davis (De).

Dylan Davis also trained and Corey Callahan was the pilot. She paid $4.00 to win.

She’s Pukka N finished 2nd for trainer Brian Malone. Tony Morgan drove. Grace Rocks finished 3rd for trainer Jamal Williams and driver Simon Allard. Corey Callahan had a driving triple on the card.

Bally’s Dover will host (four) Matron Stakes for 2-year-olds on Thursday (Nov.3).

The first Matron Stake is a non-wagering event. Matron Stakes continue on the first, fourth and tenth race on the wagering card .
