Columbus, MN – Trotting filly Model Good Looks posted a dominating performance for her third consecutive win in the $17,500 Minnesota-sired sophomore filly trot as part of a banner five-win night for her trainer/driver Brady Jenson on Sunday (Aug. 23) at Running Aces.

Jenson got away third initially before making an early move to take the lead just before the three-eighths mark relegating chief rival SV Shining Star (driven by Rick Magee) to the pocket.
Model Good Looks (by Southwind Cobra) was never in doubt from there and drew away in the late stages for a 5-1/4 length tally in 1:59 while SV Shining Star held second over a late charging A Spark For You (Nick Roland).
The winner is owned by Larry Jenson and Ken Stauffer. She paid $2.20 on top.
Bang Bang Boogie (by New Jersey Viking) rolled to his ninth win of the season in the $17,500 male division with a 4-length romp in 1:57 over last week’s winner My Little Maverick (Casey Leonard) with longshot Imjumpinjackflash (Scott Cisco) completing the trifecta.
The talented gelding has now earned $80,260 this season for owners Stephanie Anfinson and Ken Stauffer. Rick Magee was the winning pilot and they returned $3 as the race favorites.
Peanutbutterfalcon (by Quality Kemp) took flight late to rally to a career best 1:55.3 victory in the $11,600 top conditioned trot of the night for his third win of the season and his 22nd career tally.
The 2025 Minnesota Horse of The Year closed from fifth at the top of the lane to gun down front-runner Escaper with DP Freedoms Chrome getting home in third.
Cisco was the winning driver on the $8.60 winner for owner Jeralene Roland and trainer Dan Roland.
Jenson swept the first three races on the card before adding two more wins in races 5 and 6 to go ahead by one win in the driver’s standings over Casey Leonard, but the lead was short lived as Leonard scored a win in race nine to draw on even terms. Both drivers now have 70 wins on the Aces 2026 season with 12 nights to go. Jenson has been the leading driver and leading trainer for the past two seasons while this is Leonard’s first season at Aces.
Live racing returns to Running Aces on Tuesday night (Aug. 25) for “Dollar Night” with $1 Hot Dogs, $2 Beers and Free Bet Drawings. Post time is set for 7 p.m. (CDT).
