Columbus, OH — Those who reside in the Lexington, Ky. area, and who want to know about owning a Standardbred racehorse, should mark Sunday, May 25, on their calendar.

On that day the Kentucky Harness Horsemen’s Association will sponsor a seminar for prospective Standardbred racehorse owners, just prior to the Woodford County Fair races at the Red Mile in Lexington.

The topics to be discussed include the costs, risks and rewards of harness racing, and how to select a trainer and horse.

Participants will receive a one year subscription to Hoof Beats magazine and a $25 credit for the USTA’s online database, PATHWAY.

The seminar will begin at 11:00 a.m., and the first race will start at noon.

To reserve a spot contact William Napier of the Kentucky Harness Horsemen’s Association, at (859) 276-2468, or Jamie Coffy at the U.S. Trotting Association, at (877) 800-8782, ext. 3260.
