Odds On Rhodonite, Swiss Mocha win Review Stakes

Springfield, IL — Odds On Rhodonite and Swiss Mocha each posted a win in Review Stakes action on Tuesday (Aug. 12) at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield.

Odds On Rhodonite scored in 1:55.4, with a final quarter of :26.4, in the $30,500 Orin Baker Memorial Review Stake for 3-year-old pacers. The winner is owned by Mark Winship and Amy Giberson, trained by Nick Giberson and was driven to victory by John De Long. The son of Western Ideal-Odds On Helen scored by 2-1/4 lengths over Ideal Helen (Casey Leonard) while 4-5 favorite Hello My Dream (Dave Magee) faded to third after leading for most of the mile.

Swiss Mocha captured the $28,600 George Alexander Memorial Review Stake for 3-year-old trotters in a time of 2:00. Pat Curtin was in the bike for trainer Trenton Watson as the Armbro American-Swiss Falls gelding romped to an 8-1/4 length victory over Vacations Pride (Dave Magee) with Maple Grove Joe (Jamaica Patton) third. The winner is owned by Watson Stable.
