Dover, DE — When racing resumes at Dover Downs after a two-day Thanksgiving holiday break on Saturday, November 27, two $14,500 paces highlight the card. On Sunday, a $10,100 Delaware Pace and two $25,000 claiming paces are feature races. First post both days is 5:30 p.m. In Saturday’s $14,500 pace co-features, nine start in the first division led by Nick and Corey Callahan’s JP Hickory (Ross Wolfenden), Curtis Larrimore’s Anzac (Steve Warrington), Joe and JoAnn Thomson’s-leased Cookie Dough Boy (Hal Belote), and Pat DeFederico’s A Touch Of Class (Herve Filion). The second $14,500 event is wide open. Gemini Racing’s Robert Henry (Jim Morand) heads the field which includes Doris Rice’s Scotian Slick (Hal Belote), Dale Wootten’s Ace Of Arts (Roger Plante), and Wendy Crissman and Denzil Carpenter’s Rich N Dandy (Hal Belote). In a $10,800 Delaware Pace, Alan Revell’s Autotrack (Hal Belote) leads eight to post. On Sunday, in the $10,100 Delaware Pace, Wright Pratt’s Tommy’s Eldorado (Vic Kirby) drops down, while Jeff Franklin and Todd Wise’s Rocky Spur (Brad Hanners) steps up in company. Leading the opposition is Jim McGinnis and Russell Kirby’s 11-year-old veteran Spun Out (Jim Morand). In a Sunday $25,000 claiming pace, Rodney Long’s Drop Zone (Ross Wolfenden) won at this level last week, but starts from post eight. Two start for new ownership after being claimed last time out, Nick Callahan’s Life Moves On (Brad Hanners) and Tom Weber’s Mike’s Pal N (Jim Morand). Draw Me Bye (Herve Filion), owned by Club Risque Stable and Brandrew Racing, is another contender. In a second $25,000 claimer, Tim Hundertpfund’s Real Hush (Ross Wolfenden) steps up after a win, taking on Jim and Glenna Lunn’s Hale Hylight (Mike Cole), Gary Zambor and trainer Ron Millman’s Albagold (Vic Kirby) and Wayne Pryor and Wendy Crissman’s Move On (Sean Bier). Weekend post time is 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday racing begins at 4:30 p.m. There is no charge for admission or parking.
