Scholarship applications now available

from the Harness Horse Youth Foundation

Westfield, IN — Applications for a number of college scholarships administered by the non-profit Harness Horse Youth Foundation (HHYF) are now available online at the HHYF Web site www.hhyf.org. All applications and related materials must be postmarked by April 30, 2008.

Applications for the scholarships must be at least high school seniors and preferably under the age of 25. The selection criteria for all of the scholarships include demonstrated scholastic achievement, including but not limited to, the applicant’s GPA; financial need; completeness of application; and quality of essay (where applicable).

The Charles Bradley Memorial

Applicants must be children or relatives of racing officials who were members of the North American Judges & Stewards Association and/or licensed USTA pari-mutuel officials in the following categories: presiding judge, associate judge, paddock judge, and starter. Applicants must be at least seniors in high school.

The Bradley Memorial was named in memory of Charles Bradley, a highly respected state regulator and founding member of the North American Judges and Stewards Association.
