Columbus, OH – For the third straight year, the four $150,000 divisions of The Next Generation for freshmen Ohio Sired horses will be featured on FOX Sports as part of New York Racing Association’s series America’s Day at the Races. The show will air on Saturday (July 4) from 7:30-11 p.m. and will also include races from The Meadowlands.

Jenna Otten, Scioto’s on-air commentator, will host from Scioto, while Gabe Prewitt will provide studio coverage and Jessica Otten will be live at The Meadowlands.
“The Next Generation is an event to showcase our next group of super stars in Ohio,” said Joe Morris, the Senior Vice President of Racing for Caesar’s Entertainment. “The shows FOX puts on for harness racing helps attract our next generation of racing fans.”
The Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association will also broadcast the evening’s races as a special “Saturday Night at the Races” feature, which can be viewed on YouTube and accessed through their Facebook page.
Saturday’s 16-race card will start at 5:25 p.m.
The 91-day 2026 Eldorado Scioto Downs regular season runs through Saturday, September 19. Races are held Tuesday-Saturday, with a special holiday card on Labor Day instead of the Tuesday card that week. The track will then re-open for the Breeders Crown, with eliminations held October 16-17 and the finals October 23-24.
