On Wednesday (Aug. 6), the Red Mile hosted two cards due to inclement weather on the previous day. The first card originally consisted of 12 races, but only stakes events were contested. Brandon Blvd remained undefeated in the sole $80,000 second-round leg of the Kentucky Championship Series for freshman male pacers.

Red Mile set to launch 2025 racing season
The countdown is on for the highly anticipated return of live harness racing at the Red Mile, with opening day set for Sunday, July 20. Racing will continue through Sunday, Oct. 5, following a Sunday-through-Wednesday schedule. Post time will be 5:05 p.m. on Sundays, and 1 p.m. post times on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Round Barn fundraiser set for Sept. 29
The annual Stable of Memories “Round Barn” fundraiser will be held Sunday, Sept. 29, from 6-9 p.m. at the historic Lexington, Ky., landmark adjacent to the Red Mile. The event is being held the night before the opening of the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale at Fasig-Tipton.
