Timeisonmyside finds another gear, wins Kirwan Memorial leg at The Meadows

Washington, PA — Timeisonmyside shrugged off his only challenger and sprinted away late to capture Saturday’s (April 20) $12,500 leg of the Tom Kirwan Memorial Pace for sophomore colts and geldings at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

The finals of four series for 3-year-olds — including the Tom Kirwan — are set for next week at The Meadows.

After quarter-poling to the top, Timeisonmyside put away the field by the three-quarters but for Senditin Jim, who gained steadily first over and nearly looked Timeisonmyside in the eye through the final turn.

But like a rolling stone, Timeisonmyside responded to Chris Lems’ urging and drew off, defeating Senditinjim by 2-1/2 lengths in a career-best 1:53.1. Believe It Sea It recovered from a late break to earn show.
